Leaving Your Traces/Lezzie Think Tank

Two formats traveling with State of Mind

State of Mind travel with two formats carried out by the artist in addition to the traditional artist talks also performed at each venue. The other are two workshops done with the local activists and academic communities; Lezzie Think Tank a relay of questions pass on from one city to the next and Leaving Your Traces new video segments from each city based on a set of questions designed to give a notion of the everyday life for an LGBTQ person in that specific city.

Leaving Your Traces In close conjunction with the installation Sate of Mind and the Lezzie Think Tank (LTT) we carry out a video based workshop. The aim for it is to generate a number of interviews similar to the ones in the art installation but reflecting the local situation in the cities we visit. We make this video workshop in close collaboration with the host organization for LTT. Leaving Your Traces can also be conducted as a workshop on visual representation up on request, ie it does not have to be in conjunction with the art installation.

Lezzie Think Tank, (LTT) is a traveling think tank on issues of community, activism, based on local needs infused with pan-national experience - forming coalitions between organizations and individuals. The exhibition tour becomes the path for the LTT/Lezzie Think Tank. In addition to touring the photography and video based installation LLT was launched as a forum for exchange of ideas and thoughts towards an empowering network among activists within the LGBTQ scene using State of Mind as a step stone for not only the think tank but for seminars as well. In a relay format a battery of issues are raised in one city and responded to by the next. The exhibition tour becomes the path for the think tank. This think tank is in many ways experimental but it is also a living indication on how to participate in making change in society. Where art, activism and academia in one place can come together and spark something new. With support from the previous think tank and as support for the coming one. LTT targets lesbian/bi/queer communities on local and pan national level and works with organizations, networks as well as individuals striving for the same set of goals.
